Description

By the end of this session, participants will have a practical understanding of balance sheet preparation, and tax reporting for corporations, including the specifics for S Corporations. They will be equipped with the necessary skills to construct and reconcile balance sheets, and prepare Schedule M-1, including an understanding of various adjustments accounts and income/loss reconciliation.

  Learning Objectives

1. Understand how the balance sheet aids in return preparation for business.
2. Learn how the balance sheet can help in accurate preparation of business tax returns.
3. Enhance knowledge of how business transactions affect tax reporting.
4. Understand the implications of these transactions for tax reporting.
5. Develop skills necessary to construct an opening and closing balance sheet.
