Speaker Steven L. Walker, Attorney
Description
This course will cover recent developments in IRS enforcement and what to expect in 2024 and beyond. Since the pandemic in 2020 and 2021 plus the series of postponements for tax year 2022 the IRS has had its hands full. Incorrect notices, delays in processing and a flurry of other issues have plagued the service. Now IRS has notified tax preparers that they are prepared to pick back up and go full steam ahead. Mr. Walker will provide insight to some of the policies and procedures that IRS will implement to get back on track.
Learning Objectives
1) Learn what to expect as the IRS prioritizes which notices they will be sending to taxpayers.
2) Increase your knowledge of the types of enforcement that IRS will implement.
